There are numerous companies around the world producing varieties of vape liquids. It is also commonly called as “e-liquid” or “e-juice”. Aside from regular ingredients, companies have been modifying e-liquids by using additional chemicals like coconut oil, flavor enhancer like diacetyl and others. In USA, more than 400 deaths were reported who used THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) in their vape liquid. Several harmful chemicals and heavy metals were found in these modified e-liquids in high toxic levels like, acetaldehyde, formaldehyde, benzene, acrolein, diacetyl, diethylene glycol, iso-propanol, arsenic, nickel, lead and cadmium.7
Developed countries are able to identify vaping as probable RRP and are legalizing and regulating different products. As a one-voice of “smoke-free world” along these nations, it is high times that Nepal should also produce potentially harmless vape liquids for the public so that people would suffer less (mentally, health-wise and financially) from life threatening conditions brought about by smoke cigarettes and using harmful tobacco products.
